The right-hand column is a starting hypothesis per sector, not a finding. The industry check for your project replaces it with what is true for your block.
C Research happens on site
Every project starts with two weeks of research. Here, part of that is done on foot.
- 01
Walk in
How a first visit actually goes: what’s asked, what’s handed over, where it stalls.
- 02
Front desk
What the desk sees on a busy morning, and which of it a form or a portal should take off their hands.
- 03
Down the block
What the competitors nearby actually do: hours, phone pickup, how they show up in a search from the sidewalk.
- 04
Back at the desk
The industry check and competitor sheet, written up and shown to you before anything is designed.

E Work in the borough
Only work the client has cleared appears by name. More of it is in build than is shown.
F Local search, set up properly
- Google Business ProfileCategory, hours and description that match the site and the door. It points at a page that says true things.
- LocalBusiness schemaThis page carries one for the studio; yours gets its own, with the same name, address and phone as the footer.
- One name · address · phoneSpelled the same everywhere it appears, so the listings agree with each other.
- A review flowA short link customers actually use, and a page that answers the questions the reviews raise.
- Area pages that say true thingsLike this one. Not one per neighbourhood with the name swapped.
Based here. Building for here.
G Questions on this page
Do you meet in person in Staten Island?
Yes, when it helps the research. The two weeks at the start of a project include visits to your business and a look at the competitors nearby. Most of the work after that happens over calls and in the client portal.
Do you have an office I can visit?
No storefront. Layer Logic Studio works from Staten Island and meets at your place of business or on a call. No address is published on this site for that reason.
Do you work with businesses outside Staten Island?
Yes: across the five boroughs, New Jersey, and remotely anywhere in the U.S. The area pages exist because the on-site research is easiest nearby, not because the work stops at the bridge.
Does being local matter for showing up in search?
For map results and “near me” searches it does: proximity, a consistent Business Profile and a name, address and phone that match everywhere count. For everything else, the site itself does the work, and that is the same wherever it is built.
